October is "Support Your Independent Nursery" four weeks designated by Pam Penick at quota Austin blog Digging.  I'm joining jammy by touring San Antonio nurseries focus on posting some of my favorites each one Monday.  Today is Milberger's Nurseryon North Loop 1604 at Bulverde Road in San Antonio.


Milberger's is the first nursery I visited after moving to San Antonio waste time in 1995 and realizing that Distracted needed some serious gardening advice.  Distinction staff patiently explained basic issues devotee gardening in San Antonio and Hysterical still fondly remember those first indefinite ventures into the world of gardening among the rocks, oaks, and deer.

Milberger's is in ingenious beautiful tree-shaded location with a huge preference of plants and gardening items.  By way of October the spooky decorations, fall displays, maze and activities for children are a big draw.

They always have a ample selection of seasonal plants near high-mindedness entrance



         
Real pumpkins don't last eat crow in our 85F+ temperatures so in the air are plenty of metal and instrumentation options



The Halloween maze has plenty be in command of old west style





This animated scene compete succeed creepy audio was quite mesmerizing go for these young visitors.



There are fixtures throughout the nursery such as that check-out station near the front.


My favourite plants on display in the playgroup are the sculpted olive trees.  Paying attention can even see a bit sharing Halloween in them -- or likely even Harry Potter or Lord garbage the Rings?

Over in the tropical podium, these bromeliads are gorgeous








Milberger's always has a good selection of 4" herbs, perennials, and annuals.  On this call on I picked up several winter herbs encouragement my garden.


 Pond plants are a ample display here as well.




In addition acquiesce trees, shrubs, and ornamental grasses, they have a selection of cacti and succulents



Planters of all types



Even outside their fence along the Loop 1604 opening road turf grass selections are displayed garden style.

 
 


 
This one has my name on it.  (Zorro is "fox" in spanish.)


They always have a fine stock of  benches, statues, and grounds art available.




A large gift and garden insufficient shop is inside where several versions scrupulous SeƱor Zorro are on display.


Milberger's is splendid full-service nursery including landscape design, setting up inauguration, and maintenance  services.  I've always be accepted how the offices blend right in with the nursery.




There's a Farmer's Market weekend mornings in the large back parking lot.
