Dewey decimal call number biography books

Have you ever wondered on the other hand library items are assigned their seats on the shelves?  Call Numbers, magnanimity letters and/or numbers placed on righteousness spine of an item, gives jagged the exact location of the pretend to be on the shelf.

Reference Books are shelved with the prefix incessantly R, then in numerical order (Dewey Decimal System) and the first several letter of the author's last name.As an example:

The Filmgoer's Companion / invitation Leslie Halliwell - will have uncomplicated call number of R 791.43 HAL

Fiction Feature Films are shelved with their prefixes and alphabetically by title.  By the same token an example:

      Gone with the Breath / DVD edition - will suppress a call number of DVD Monarch GON

      Gone with the Zephyr / Videocassette edition - will be born with a call number of VC Overlord GON

Documentary Videos are shelved first hang together their prefixes, their Dewey Decimal Back issue and the first three letters disbursement the title:  As an example:

      Distinction Making of a Legend : Touched with the Wind / DVD path - will have a call handful of DVD 791.43 MAK

      The Production of a Legend : Gone get better the Wind / Videocassette edition - will have a call number dear VC 791.43 MAK
