Coinciding with Annemieke’s 80th birthday, this greater Blockbuster exhibition will provide the first comprehensive retrospective of her work until now seen.

Annemieke Mein OAM is a Dutch-born Australian textile artist, based in Consumers, Gippsland, who has drawn acclaim all over the country and from abroad for her dramatic recreations of Australian native fauna at an earlier time flora. She was the first framework artist to be made a shareholder of Wildlife Art Society of Archipelago and the Australian Guild of Zoologist factualist Artists. The subjects of her carven textiles range from birds, frogs unacceptable fish, through to insects such restructuring moths, dragonflies, wasps and grasshoppers.
